Modifying Humans for Military Purposes

This is the recently published policy paper produced by the UK MOD and the German Bundeswehr, outlining the possible means of augmenting the biology of soldiers to improve their capabilities in warfare. Included are consideration of genetic modification, invasive brain interfaces, exoskeletons, and pharmaceuticals, among other methods. Most major countries are actively developing and testing these too. It makes for worrying reading, especially as they have not even considered the consequences foreseen in Homo Technica.
